SWAFFHAM TRAIL Sacred Heart Convent and School Home

One hundred years ago the Convent of the Sacred Heart Swaffham was founded by a small group of nuns, the Daughters of Divine Charity, from Vienna.

The Sisters moved from a rented house in Station Street to 17 Mangate Street which is their present building.

They run a school for children of all faiths from 3 – 16 years of age.

My great grandma Mrs Whiteland was a teacher at the Sacred Heart Independent School.
